Remembering Senior Night

The kids and staff at San Elizario High School are like family to me. So, when they lost out on their graduation ceremonies, I was saddened, just as they were.

It’s a hard world we live in, but one person made a stupid decision without consulting anyone else. Really, what’s the point of having a School Board if one person is going to rule from on high as if they were the Lord and Master of all they see.

The kids of San Elizario are not stupid. Everyone was going to wear a mask, social distancing would be in place, and everything would have been fine.

Well, I’m still a bit angry about it all, and then I found myself reliving Senior Night for San Elizario Basketball.

What follows are all the photos, and a small video I made, from that day.

I will make you all a promise – we will be stronger because of this. We will.
