I’ve covered many sporting events – I’ve shot the NFL, NBA, MLB; I’ve covered hockey, football and basketball at the college and high school levels – and have always managed to have fun while doing it. Yet the one school I will drop all else to cover is back home in San Elizario, Texas.
The kids at San Eli are amazing, no matter who they are. To me, they are like family.
COVID-19 has upended our lives and their school year. Sports came to a screeching halt and we were all left with almost nothing to do but sit at home and twiddle our thumbs. It’s sad. These are not the memories these kids should have had.
Most of today, as I recover, I’ve been looking though old photos from San Eli. Thought I would share them with you.
The photos attached to this post come from the time the Lady Eagles hosted the Hamilton Girls Basketball team.
The gallery, those are a collection of photos from San Elizario.
I hope you find something you can enjoy. Hope it brings back some good memories. I also hope we are all able to meet again – on the field, on the court – and cheer the Eagles on to victory!
